Welcome to Improved Health: a channel that offers 3 levels of effective low impact workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate level workouts). Once you find which level is best, you can find more of the same level of workouts in the playlists (a variety of workouts including cardio, strength, stretching, all-in-ones, as well as talking and no-talking options).
As a Recreation Therapist, Group Fitness Instructor & Senior Fitness Instructor, my goal is to create fun workouts for anyone who is looking for safe, manageable and effective workouts.

10 min Fun Low Impact Workout for Total Beginners
We can all be fit over 50! This fun, low impact walking workout has been created for total beginners who want to improve health, lower blood sugar and to get healthier. When it's difficult finding time or motivation to exercise, a 10 minute walk at home workout is a great start and it'll often energize you so you'll want to do more. If time is an issue, try to fit in a bunch of short workouts throughout the day. If you're just starting out with exercise, aim to get in a 10 minute workout every day until it becomes a habit. Once you establish a routine, you can add on and do more when you're ready. Total step count today is 1110 steps.

The 15 seconds definitely goes by quickly (on my end I definitely have to look at the timer a lot to ensure I switch at 15 seconds!).😉
@@ImprovedHealth Do you use special 15 seconds music? It kind of changes every 15 seconds letting me know that you're about to do a new move, although I sometimes get carried away and when I refocus you're half way through your next exercise! 😆

Loved this workout, with a good beat it motivates to keep exercising and the time flies. I usually do yoga on 2 or 3 days so all these cardio workouts as extra are brilliant, so pleased I discovered these.

Oh my goodness! Dear Improved Health instructor, I was able to work up considerable sweat! I love the minimal talk and the visuals. I love the 20 second intervals. Thanks for the suggestion of increasing the pace for the walking portion. I was able to challenge myself w balance. I was able to keep my heartrate between 75-80% capacity. I am proud. I also feel energized, and I am in a better mood after I have moved my body with exercise sessions. I am grateful to my body for its ability. I am grateful to you for your time and commitment in creating these very affordable (free!) videos. Now all I have to do is check my steps. Thanks, Rita

*Love* the 15 second intervals! By the time you feel the burn, it's time to go to the next interval. Also really appreciate that it's a total body workout and a short 10 minutes so I can combine it with other workouts. Perfect. Just perfect. More please. Thank you.

My hope is that if you return daily for exercise, you'll start to feel better mentally, and that your blood pressure will start to come down, AND you'll sleep better. There are so many benefits (beyond what we see on the outside). I've heard of lots of people no longer having sleep apnea after working out regularly. I truly hope you enjoy more of the workouts when you try them out.
